Lunar Phases!

For the first half of the class, we finished our Lunar Lab: Constructing the Idea of Moon Phases. Since only part of the class were able to finish the Lab in time to go over it, I will not be putting the answers up.

Check out this diagram if you don't understand it.

  1. Since I think everyone got done with the first page
    1) both counterclockwise
    2) because Earth rotates 180 degrees everyday so it will return to the same spot every day.
    3) 50%
    Opposite sun= full moon
    4) 1 rotation:1 revolution

A really hard one (at least for me) was #3 on the Observer and moon section
Answer is: The relationship must be Earth-person-moon. This is because for the moon to be directly over you you have to be between the moon and Earth in a straight line. I think this question is worded really weirdly so it is hard to understand.
